Checking into Garden-in-a-hotel , first in Singapore ,Marina Bay ParkRoyal Collection Hotel, located at the heart of Singapore Central Business District.
When arrive into lobby we are greeted by beautiful greenwall behind the concierge while we make our way to Reception , surrounded by lush greenery indoor gardens under the large atrium . These indoor gardesns are home to one of Southeast Asia’s largest indoor sky-lit atrium, containing over 2,400 plants, trees, shrubs and groundcovers from more than 60 varieties of flora spread across 15,000 square feet of space throughout.
The recent renovated hotel room are very cosy and comfortable with supplementary amenities needed. Our room with accessible long balcony toward great city view.
The hotel also feature eco friendly dining concept with Urban Farm that produce fresh vegetables and fruits produce to the hotel restaurants’s daily need. This Farm-to-Table urban farming is more sustainable and reduce food waste in the kitchen. Coffee ground used in guest room also being recycled together with kitchen food waster to produce compost and fertiliser for the Urban Farm.
We have our brunch in one of the famous restaurant in the hotel, Peach Blossom to satisfy our craving for dimsum. We are lucky to made reservation as usually fully booked during weekend. Dimsum are fantastic especially the fried carrot cake and prawn dumpling.
Hanging out the hotel pool at lazy afternoon time with our Kai, the pools are spacious with a lot of sun beds to cater for hotel guests.
At Peppermint, we choose to have our breakfast inside the Pavilion setting in the lush garden, amazingly the birds chirping sounds are from real birds in the cages. Breakfast spread is wide variety include local and international cuisines.
Kai also have much fun at Level 4 Kid’s Play Room, with a lot of toys, trampoline and table games to play with.
