As we had a plan for year end holiday trip and my birthday + anniversary fall on the same month, we decided to go for staycation in Singapore instead of overseas trip. This year our choice goes to Shangri-La Hotel for our 5th year anniversary and birthday staycation.
Shangri-La is one of the 5 star hotel in Singapore and recently had revamped on interior and exterior of the hotel. Actually i was attracted to their revamped lobby and the orchid garden pavilion. This hotel is also just a walking distance to shopping paradise: Orchard Road! As we wish to enjoy Christmas mood along Orchard, so Shangri-La is in our top pick.
Set amidst 15 acres of lush greenery, Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore with luxurious guestrooms and suites in three distinctive wings, and serviced apartments and residences in four-storey villas.
They also have the spa facility CHI, The Spa and dining place such as The Waterfall, The Line, or Shang Palace.
The Lobby
If without the candle, the reflective pool will have a beautiful reflections of the green walls and the trees. Btw, the trees are real! I really love the high ceiling! This looks like classic with contemporary touch.

The Orchids

This place is one of the highlight when staying with Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. Look at how unique the pavilion design is and how stunning are the hanging orchids. It has a magical effect for the photoshoot.
The afternoon sun creates the shadow inside the pavilion, if you want some dramatic shot with the shadow, come in the afternoon.

Garden Wing
Garden Wing have the pretty balcony planted with Bougainvillea flowers.
We spent our evening roaming around Orchard Road and admiring the Christmas decoration. And when we back to our room, we found that the hotel manager sent me a Birthday cake. Perhaps they just knew my birthday when i checked in. Thank you so much for the special surprise! We really appreciate it!
Morning!!!
The Pool
Chill by the pool before we checked out. The pool kinda old style and nothing special. But you can get massage by the pool! Saw some guests getting the massage on their lounge chairs beside the pool.
The Orchids
Decided to visit The Orchids again the next morning to get different effect for the shot. Ehm the main reason because i prepared a dress for this shot, lol.
That morning the sky was not so friendly, the sky was gloomy and the deck was wet maybe due to rain in the evening. But thankful that we still able to create a magical shot there.
Hmmm, not forgetting my lingerie shots everytime we have staycation haha.
I would say even tho the place is a bit old, but their service is top notch.
