For starters, they have Spicy Buffalo Frog Legs and Gills N Shells Crab Cakes to whet your appetite. For main dishes, there is ‘Hae Bee Hiam’ Pasta with Soft Shell Crab, Salted Egg Pasta with Grilled Tiger Prawns, Truffle Infused Cod and Lobster Roll. And of course, to conclude your hearty meal with a sweet finish, they have special homemade tiramisu as a dessert!

Clams & Mussels [$15.90] (Myammar)

– Spicy White Wine Clear Broth with Herbs, Garlic Onions & Chilli or Smokey Herb Tomato Garlic Sauce. Served with Focaccia Toast.
I am not a fan of shell stuff, so i had to miss the clams and mussle, but i did try the broth with the garlic bread. It was so good! The bread so crispy and the broth is so fragrant.
Apparently, the garlic bread spread is house-made in their kitchen by their own chefs and kitchen crews.

Spicy Buffalo Frog Legs [$16.90]
(Frog imported from Vietnam)

The chef’s innovative specialty, this is a leap from the classic Chinese style frog legs porridge. This dish comprises of succulent frog legs cooked to perfection and tossed in scrumptious spicy buffalo sauce.

The frog legs are very huge and meaty, but i wish that the flour coating is more crispy, not as soft when it served.

1/2 Dozen Baked Oysters [$25.90]

– Choice of Bacon Cheese Herbs Tomato Sauce or Chef’s Specialty Sauce

Truffled Infused Cod [$24.90]

– Chef’s Special Creation. Succulent cod pan-fried, baked and topped with braised preserved radish.

Pan-seared and topped with Asian braised preserved radish – also fondly known as ‘cai poh’.
I am such a fish person, so this dish definitely meet my taste bud. The fish is very soft and juicy with super fragrant truffle oil and creamy mash potato.

Grilled Tiger Prawn with Salted Egg Pasta [$18.90]

All their pasta dishes are cooked al dente and smothered with delectable house-made sauces which boast an exciting blend of oriental and western flavours.
The salted egg flavour not that strong but the prawn are very fresh. In my two cents, their fusion pasta are generally good and worth to try.

Maine Lobster [$28.90] (Boston)
– Grilled with Spicy Herb Garlic Butter & served with fresh garden greens.

The lobster serving is very generous and their homemade french fries is very tasty.

Hae-Bee-Hiam Pasta with Soft Shell Crab [$18.90]
Another favourite dish is this fusion pasta with hae bee hiam, the pasta sauce is really tasty and very Asian. This pasta is must try when you visit Gills and Shells.
Roasted Stuffed Chicken [$18.90]

– Stuffed chicken leg roasted with fresh herbs and cream cheese.

The chicken itself is very tasty and the meat is very tender, but i wish i can still taste the cream cheese flavour on it, seems like it melted when they baked the chicken.

Salmon Burger [$17.90]

The salmon meat serving is very generous with special housemade Teriyaki Sauce, the salmon skin is slightly crisp with very tasty teriyaki sauce deeply marinated into the meat. And again we love the homemade french fries, it was really good.

Gills N Shells Tiramisu Jar [$10.90]
Don’t judge by the look, this tiramisu in jar is really melt in the mouth, so creamy… Such a comforting dessert to end our meal.

Almost every food component in Gills N Shells are made in-house from scratch. Being so particular of quality and demanding results, the chef and the founder of Gills and Shells made a pact back then to have their own garden of greens and breed their own seafood, should they have the capability one day.
